I can't believe how long I've been missing out from my very own blog site. Ever since November kicked in, it has indeed become a roller coaster ride for me - yes that 18 days which have just passed seemed a really long time already. Now, I just realized how much I've missed free lance writing / ranting / sharing / aka blogging! I don't really know where to begin, so please forgive me if my ideas here are very much scattered. hihi. I will probably just include several photos to sum up what I want to share, and hopefully, once I've accustomed myself to my new daily routine, I could eventually update my own page more frequently:)
Meet my newly found girl friends who keep me sane, day in day out:) Our daily routine goes like this: We meet up and have breakfast at McDonald's (I know how unhealthy this is, but it's the only 24hour establishment in the area, haha!), then go together to our training room by 8:15, just in time for our 8:30AM "class." Lecture time all throughout then lunch at the Cafeteria or somewhere else within the premises then we usually go home together also. Sometimes, we still hang out for a bit but I usually end up going home right away since I still have things to do:)
God has always been surrounding me with good friends to keep me company since college started. He probably knows how clingy I can be with my friends and I'm just thankful that I've never been alone (Thank God), nor did I have to adjust that much with new people because there's usually a person or 2 whom I end up with at this new environment whom I share the same culture with, like these girls:)
Last November 8, Leo's mom celebrated her birthday:) We of course celebrated with a dinner at Kuya's, Fort :)
I can't remember when this was exactly, but I do know that we watched Skyfall before having an almost midnight dinner at Cyma. I was too tired that I slept during half of Skyfall. Can you believe it?! Well don't blame me, the movie was a bit dragging for me - there is simply too much talking for a James Bond kind of movie. I managed to stay awake during the action packed parts of the movie though:) We weren't able to have dinner before watching, thus we were already starving by the time the movie ended. Our feet took us to one of my favorite restaurants, Cyma. They serve really delicious and mouth watering Greek dishes that I'm delighted we ended up here:)
Now onto my coffee addiction and one of my Christmas traditions - Starbucks and its planner. I've always been a sucker for caffeine since college started that I could consume 2-3 cups of coffee per day! I know how bad that sounds. I have no vices - I'm happy & contented with my daily bolus dose of caffeine;-) Nevertheless, I know how bad that could affect my kidney, but still - haha! For some reason, I'm really attached with Starbucks and its Frapuccino drinks. I've tried all the coffee shops in Manila and even if I would be blind folded for a taste test sampling, it will always be Starbucks! Now, they also have this annual planner promo. I wasn't intending to collect stickers this year since the 2012 edition I have is STILL barely used, plus it didn't look as nice. However, there's just something with their planners that it keeps on tempting you to collect the stickers anyway. Moreover, there's Starbucks everywhere, specially with where I currently am now, so might as well go with one of my (seemingly unreasonable) Christmas traditions ;-)
I've also been attending seminars and symposiums here and there as a part of our training. We were fortunate enough to have been able to attend this one about cancer, and another one held at Quezon City which was about medication administration. The speakers' backgrounds were amazing (either they graduated from Harvard or they're currently professors at Harvard) Now I'm wondering what I will be 10 years from now. I haven't even started and here am I trying to figure things out already. I just hope everything turns out the way I'm envisioning them to be. ;-)
On ThursDates
One Thursday, we had a random date night with 4 other pairs, making us 5 pairs. If 2 pairs are called a double date, 3 pairs make a triple date, I'm not really sure how 5 pairs should be aptly called. Penta date? haha. Kidding aside, Chihuahua was our chosen restaurant. They serve (I'd say close to authentic) Mexican dishes, however the choices are very limited. I think their menu only consists of 3 different dishes which only vary with the kind if meat (chicken, pork, steak, etc). All their dishes are really delicious however it's probably among those restaurants which you'd be going back to after quite some time due to the limited dishes they offer, plus a kind of steep price. Anyway, we enjoyed the night, specially when one of our friends brought an intensely hot (literally) hot sauce. I know it's redundant but it's the only way to describe it. So, being the guys that they are, they all tried a drop or 2 of the so called "The Bomb" Hot sauce, which left them to crying man tears and a lot of cursing (as if it would help, haha). It was too funny. The guys just exchanged stories of the crazy days they spent back in high school doing all forms of craziness a student could possibly do, which really entertained us girls. I hope we have Thursdates more often :)
Really delicious nachos:)
We shared tacos and a burrito. I have this habbit of splitting food and sharing with others because I easily get tired of eating the same dish specially if the serving is huge.
Lastly...
A few, well I just meant 2 more photos of me and the gang:) Forgive my unruly hair which I can't seem to tame down. These photos pretty much explain our daily routine:) I will probably include more candid shots because we're not as formal as shown below. hihi. I sure hope my next entry wouldn't take me weeks before I upload it here;-)
