It's been almost a year since Varekai: Cirque Du Soleil was shown here in Manila. This is indeed one of the best shows you can ever see & has world class quality performers, costumes & stunts. I felt excited when Leo asked me to watch this with him. I am very fond of circuses. Just seeing those huge tents make my heart jump like a kid! It was just disappointing to know that taking pictures was strictly prohibited during the show. Otherwise, I would've taken dozens of photos! We were actually lucky to have been able to get seats directly in front of the stage. It was far from the stage, but still in front! We had the last pair of seats available because the rest were just solo seats.
The stage was also crazy. It was moving and had holes from where performers would just appear all of a sudden. The costumes would stir your imagination up because you'd probably believe there were such creatures. There were also kids who did amazing balancing stunts. Everything was done live, even the songs. I wish we had more of this in the Philippines. I believe the entire crew stayed here for weeks or a couple of months but they only had limited show dates. Hopefully the next one would stay here longer and would offer more affordable rates so more people could watch. Varekai was just amazing:)
The closing stunts were just unbelievably great!
